Tattoos - signs of change
Check out this manequin at a local department store - with a tattoo on his left arm. Tattoos are becoming more "accepted" in our culture today, and that is reflected even in some of our large department stores. I like it. They are stretching ... taking risks. Thoughts?

Would love to hear from you.
John, just for your information - a "blog" is a "weblog" - meaning it's a place where you post thoughts/ideas/posts from time to time. It's time for another post. I need some Johannine wisdom. :)
Hi David!
I miss you too bro. How's sunny California?

Doesn't the Bible teach that we are not to mark our bodies? OT
Or isn't that popular?
I think seeing tattoos on mannequins is great. It's a reflection of the growing tolerance in our society. I think in general tattoos are great too. Why not wear our creativeness, our lives, our feelings, our history, on our sleeves?
I don't know if the Bible or God or Jesus ever addressed tattoos, but I do believe that God gave us incredibly complex brains so we could use them to grow and evolve. I don't think it was Our Creator's intention to keep the world as it was 2000 years ago.
LOL, my mother-in-law works in that section of that department store. We're always talking about how corny the mannequin's expression is.
It's so true though. I really love it when I see someone covered in tattoos and piercings worshiping God. It's like they're setting an example for all, that God takes you as you are. You don't need to look a certain way. I'll be glad when we all get to a point where judgment of one's appearance is gone and we begin to love people for who they really are.
